Team

Wolff Coffee Roasters was the venue for the northside Become A Barista competition this year. Thank you Penny and Peter Wolff for providing such a well-organised area and for sponsoring the beans. Jennifer Yoon (freelance barista & Q grader), Lucas Marciniak (trainer at Jacobs Douwe Egberts) and Denver Lemke (barista at Pablo and Rusty’s) were the coffee professionals who helped Paul with the judging. Here they are enjoying an espresso just before the competition kicked off.

All the students performed confidently and calmly. They took pride in the finer details of their presentations and we saw some particularly interesting

signature beverages this year. It’s also good to see the students going to a lot of effort with menus and descriptions of their beverages.
